[VIDEO] The Best CES 2014 Coverage [In Two Minutes]

Wow, last week was certainly a very busy weeks for the technology market with the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) happening in Vegas. The Consumer Electronics Show is an annual electronics show that has gone on since 1967. It started off in New York with 14 total exhibitors including LG and Motorola but since 1978 has been held in Vegas to cope with growing number of company’s and visitors to the event.

This year however I have paid much more attention to CES 2014 for a number of reasons. Firstly since about January/February last year I have been more interested in the idea of computers, hardware and the technology market in general. Also I started my technology YouTube channel (www.Youtube.com/IAsLiam) in around September 2013 so I wanted to be able to report on what was at the event. While watching CES 2014 I took various written and mental notes while watching videos and reading blogs of what I really liked from the huge lineup of tech shown off at the show. Armed with this information I created a video in front of my green screen setup called “The Best CES 2014 Coverage [In Two Minutes]” The video is basically self-explanatory, I talk about some of the best things I have seen from CES in two minutes. If you would like to check it out, here it is >>>

CES 2014 has definitely been a pretty amazing start to the year making all those tech savvy people awe at what they could own later this year and in some cases even right now. With the steambox’s and the new TV’s all unveiled at CES, I really can’t wait for this year of tech get started.

GTA V: First impressions review

Unlike a lot of games bloggers, I’m not going to go into a full review of GTA V after playing it for 2 days just so I can get the review out quickly. So therefore, this review will be split into two parts: The first impressions review, and the extended review after a week or two of playing it and hopefully completing the campaign.

So, first impressions. The first thing I will get into is the map size. This is a big step up from GTA IV, in a couple of ways. The first way, is the whole map is unlocked from the start, as soon as you’ve completed the first mission, you have access to the huge map of San Andreas/Los Santos. Which brings me on to the second way it’s a big step up; the map is massive! Rather than just a city like in GTA IV, this map has a city, and also a countryside, a mountain range, an air force base, and some other cool stuff on the outside of the map. It’s fair to say this map is enormous.

GTA IV map

The map itself is enormous, with Los Santos and San Andreas both on the map.

As somebody who hasn’t actually played the rest of the GTA series other than messing around, that’s what I’ve mainly been doing, and it is still a lot of fun. It’s one of those unique, open world games in which you don’t have to play the campaign at all to still have a lot of fun by yourself. You can steal cars, rob banks, or you can be a completely law abiding citizen who buys all their cars and houses, and just watches their stocks and goes hiking all day. The choice is completely yours.

GTA IV Motorbike

Police chases more intense than ever, with better accuracy by police officers and scarily good AI on them

Hopefully I will have a lot of fun on this game, and I’ll bring out the finalised review when I think I’ve played it enough to judge it properly.

Eurogamer Expo 2013: Day two summary

Day two, and the last day, of Eurogamer expo 2013 is over, and the event has been great.

Today, both me and Liam both tried out The Elder Scrolls: Online and we both agree that although it is a really good game, the cost of it is way too high for it to be worth the months subscription. We’ll have a video of that out shortly, and a better review in the form of a post.

Another thing we did on the second day was meet some YouTubers. We were in the press area for most of the day, so we got the chance to meet a few big YouTubers such as DaveChaos, WysieHD, Vikkstar123 and even Syndicate. Again, there will be a video about that out shortly, we just need to get them all edited and up to standard.

All in all it’s been a very good trip, and we’d recommend anyone who loved tech and games to go along and try it. It’s in London next year on the 25-28 September at the same location, so go along, we’ll probably be there again!
